⌨️ Creator Keyboard Shortcuts

The Creator is largely driven from the keyboard. In every table, Cmd stands for macOS and Ctrl for Windows and Linux: the interface adapts what it displays to your machine. 🚀

🔺 Shortcuts are deliberately disabled while you are typing in an input field. Click in the canvas first to re-enable them.

✂️ Editing in the graph

Pasting drops the blocks wherever your mouse is: position the cursor first. 🎯

🔺 Removing also applies to the selected connections and groups, not just to blocks.

🧭 Moving around the canvas

F and C frame the selection if blocks are selected, and the whole graph otherwise. Hold the Space bar to pan with the mouse, and Shift + drag to draw a selection rectangle. 🤚

🪟 Opening the tool windows

You can then arrange your windows from the keyboard: Esc closes the active window, Alt + ↑ maximizes it, Alt + ↓ minimizes it, Alt + ← and Alt + → stack it left or right, Shift + Tab switches between windows. On Windows and Linux, replace Alt with Ctrl. 🗂️

These combinations are displayed in the menus. If they get in your way, uncheck Show keyboard shortcuts on the menu in your preferences. ⚙️

▶️ Testing and publishing

🔺 These four combinations are announced by the tooltips and the menus, but they do not fire from the keyboard. Use the toolbar buttons instead. 🙂

🔍 A curiosity: the d b g sequence

Type the letters d, b, g one after the other in the canvas: a development window opens. It lists the project's resources, offers to clean up the ones no longer in use, reports missing translations and displays build data.

🔺 This is not a scenario debugging tool: to follow how your story unfolds, use the player and its variables panel. This window stays in English. Cleaning up resources is a deletion: save first. 💾
