Remove from Object

The Remove from Object block lets you remove a specific property (key/value) from an Object variable.

Useful for cleaning up a data structure before sending it to a third-party API, or for erasing information that has become obsolete in a player record.

๐Ÿ“ฅ Inputs

  • variable (Object): The source Object variable.
  • path (Text): The path of the property to remove (for example address.city, to remove a nested property).

๐Ÿ“ค Outputs

  • out (Trigger): Continues the flow once the property has been removed. The variable itself is updated directly, with no key retained: there is no separate output to retrieve the object.

๐Ÿ’ก Example

Scenario: Removing temporary data before saving

  1. A session object contains a temporary tempPassword property used only during a check.
  2. Once the check is done, a Remove from Object block removes the property by giving the path tempPassword.
  3. The cleaned session object can now be safely saved.

โš™๏ธ Technical Details

  • Internal ID: removeFromObject
  • Behavior if the path doesn't exist: The object is returned unchanged, with no blocking error.
